Nice ! Looks like you have a good selsction for the desert.
I really like the selection. I hope you have shade cloth or a tree in the afternoon for those tomatoes.
The Armenian cucumbers will need a lot of sun and they’ll grow really fast! I’m giving a talk on cucumber-melons (like the Armenian) to the Tucson Organic Gardeners next Tuesday. I’ve kind of made them my specialty. There are a lot of varieties of cucumber-melons and they do fantastic in our hot desert.
Should you not care much for the taste of the Armenians, there are a lot of other cucumber-melons that grow just as well, but I think taste better.
If this is the first time you have grown the Armenian Cucumber, make sure to pick yours before they get too wide (think of zucchini).
Best wishes and happy gardening!

Jay, so what other melons/cukes grow well here? I’ve tried regular cucumbers and they seem to turn bitter too fast. And yes, I will definitely need some shade for my tomatoes. I’ve used shade cloth with pvc pipes and zip ties in the past and will give that a try again.
